Italian textile machinery OEM Savio will be exhibiting at the Innovate Textile & Apparel virtual trade show, organised by WTIN, from 15-30 October 2020.
With this year’s gap in the exhibition schedule due to the Covid-19 pandemic, going digital is the only way to have a platform to showcase products and services.
Savio is making its debut at online trade shows, wanting to take up this new opportunity to explore new ways to connect with buyers and customers, the company says.
At the Savio online stand at Innovate Textile & Apparel, visitors will find a solutions-oriented portfolio both for machinery and technical services.
Savio offers numerous machinery solutions to support the quality of the final yarn product: winding, TFO twisting, open-end rotor spinning, Multicone thread guide and many more, according to the company.
There is a new series of ‘Savio Solutions’ brochures helping customers to decide which technology is best suited to their needs according to the type of yarn: denim, cellulosic fibre yarns, wool, flax linen, aramid yarns, super fine yarns, Savio continues.
Digitalisation
Automation and digital solutions are also big drives for Savio. The requirement for integrated automation in the spinning process is increasing, because of yarn quality and productivity advantages that such solutions offer. This integrated automation drive has led Savio to offer customers new bespoke solutions, to increase flexibility with a to/fro winder, the company says.
The latest automated solution from Savio is the Multi-Link, that connects multiple ring spinning frames (RSF) to one Savio winder, becoming a tailor-made circuit to link two or three RSFs to one winding machine. This solution optimises space, reduces energy-consumption and production costs, says Savio.
This automatic bobbin transport shortens servicing paths for the operators and allows an ergonomic material flow. The costs for production, space and energy are reduced, while keeping the quality consistent even with long and multi-connected machines. Another main improvement is digitalisation and data exchange in manufacturing technologies, the company adds.
Nowadays, Savio’s product development is focused on ‘smart’ components that must transmit data online, according to the company. The new possibilities offered by the connection of machines translates into the different levels of Savio Industrial IoT (IIoT), with the possibility of progressive sophistication. The technology has different option levels, each corresponding to a different dose of Industry 4.0 applied to Savio textile winding machinery, from simple connectivity and machinery data downloading, to remote machine setup, to operator real-time interactivity, the company says.
Savio’s technical services also have a a new and innovative augmented reality (AR) tool to fast troubleshoot, improve processes and increase machine utilisation time, the company continues. Due to the current travel restrictions, in order to ensure machinery effectiveness, Savio is offering remote assistance powered by TeamViewer Pilot, an application that allows interaction in AR. “Thanks to this application, Savio experts can support field technicians at a customer site, in real time, through video sessions for faster troubleshooting from their Italian headquarters,” the company says.
