Hubei Fulinhua Textile has purchased 30 of Savio’s signature Automatic Winder EcoPulsarS machines in a ceremony staged at the Italian OEM’s booth (Hall 1, Booth C24).

Savio signs machinery deal with Hubei Fulinhua Textile
The machine was initially launched at ITMA Milan in 2015 but remains Savio’s latest offering which has a focus on sustainability and is therefore appealing to an array of textile companies in China that are looking to adhere to new environmental legislation in the country.
Savio’s chief operating officer, Mauro Moro, says: “We (Savio) are always looking to stay ahead of the competition and predict important emerging trends. At the moment, sustainability is right up there and is a key important development across the global textile industry, but particularly in China.
“Initially, we were the first company to introduce computerised machines to the textile industry in the 1990s and, more recently, we have followed this up with automation and Industry 4.0.”
Feng Jun, Hubei Fulinhua Textile’s general manager, comments that he anticipates Savio’s EcoPulsarS to reduce the amount of energy his company uses by 30%. However, besides sustainability, Hubei Fulinhua Textile – a company new to the textile industry, having previously operated in real estate, hotels and services sectors – is also keen to put measures in place in response to China 2025, the country’s answer to Industry 4.0 in Germany. According to Feng, there were three key points to the investment in Savio’s EcoPulsarS – quality, efficiency and labour costs. Consequently, Feng is confident that there will be a high return on his company’s multi-million-pound investment.
Savio states that it has a share of over 50% of the Chinese market and, for that reason, Hubei Fulinhua Textile was keen to invest in what it considers to be the pinnacle of technology in the spinning and winding field. However, the company will have to wait until March 2019 to receive the machines, which Feng expects to be up and running by summer of next year.
Savio’s Automatic Winder EcoPulsarS is equipped with a suction-on-demand system (S.D.S) which is one of the main reasons why the machines are able to reduce Hubei Fulinhua Textile’s energy consumption by 30%. Other key updates since the machine’s initial launch in 2015, include: a waste collection system, a controlled cutting system (C.C.S), a new tensioning system, clearing logic, a smart and flexible cycle, upgraded splicing solutions and Multicone digital yarn layering technology, among others.
Savio says it is pleased with the interest its solutions have gathered at ITMA Asia 2018 and is hopeful to make more sales before the end of the week and remains optimistic that some of those will include customers new to the company, such as Hubei Fulinhua Textile.
