Eton Systems, a ‘leader’ of material handling systems, will demonstrate a complete installation of their future production concept at ITMA 2019 alongside advanced software to target smart factories.
ITMA 2019, held in Barcelona, Spain, will see Eton Systems demonstrate an installation based on a future production system and Industry 4.0 concepts, to provide handling options for smart factories.

The solutions provider, headquartered in Gånghester, Sweden, offers complete handling systems and currently has over 5,000 tailored installations across multiple industries in over 60 countries.
Eton’s Flexible Productivity Concept (FPC) offers a range of solutions including automatic loading devices, pick-ups and work delivery robots in addition to historical product links. Overall, the system ‘transports all the components of a complete product through the manufacturing process’ and will be shown at ITMA alongside advanced software to provide real-time information on the process.
“Our systems are a natural fit with the major Industry 4.0-networked manufacturing plants that are now being constructed worldwide for sectors such as the garment and home textiles manufacturing and automotive industries,” says Roger Ryrlén, sales and commercial director at Eton Systems.
According to Eton Systems, a typical system consists of overhead conveyors with individually-addressable product carriers which automatically steer their way through programmed operation sequences. This is monitored by a computer for employees to measure and manage the process.
“The result is a fully-automated flow with complete control of every component for the end product – where they have been, where they are now and where they are going,” Ryrlén continues.
Eton Systems is a member of TMAS – the textile machinery association of Sweden – which has a significant presence at ITMA. Therese Premler-Andersson, secretary general at TMAS, says: “Eton Systems is truly embracing the latest Industry 4.0 concepts for fully-automated work flows that are now revolutionising the textile industry.”
Over the last 12 months, Eton Systems has been ‘very busy’ and hopes to establish ‘more major projects’ in the pipeline.
In 2018, Eton Systems attended ITMA Asia in Shanghai and demonstrated ways to develop full traceability. At ITMA 2019, the company will be at stand A214 in Hall 2.
