Sublimation media specialist Beaver Paper, a member of Koehler Paper, is showcasing its new TexPrint Moda line of sublimation paper at Innovate Textile & Apparel (15-30 October). At the company’s booth, visitors will also discover more about Beaver Paper’s TexPrint MP range of multi-purpose, hybrid sublimation transfer papers.

TexPrint Moda has been developed to meet the exclusive demands of the fashion industry, Beaver Paper claims, and is available in 25 gsm and 39 gsm – the line of paper is the company’s lightest and most economical offering. Moda boasts economical ink usage, high colour yields and cost efficiency in high-volume textile printing environments, Beaver Paper says, and is also easy to work with. Additionally, Moda prints flat and resists cockling even under heavy ink loads and its fast ink absorption properties allow it to keep pace with the highest speed commercial textile printers without offsetting.

“There was a need in the marketplace for a lightweight sublimation transfer paper exclusive to the demands of the fashion textile industry,” says Tobias Sternbeck, the new CEO of Beaver Paper Group. “Dye sublimation has seen tremendous growth in the fashion industry, and we’ve responded with TexPrint Moda – our lightest-weight paper to date.”

Additional features of TexPrint Moda include high dye gas output to ensure maximum ink is deposited onto the fabric and faster transfers that enable quick heat migration through the print sheet which allow lower calender dwell times and faster transfer speeds.

Meanwhile, TexPrint MP’s hybrid coating formulation combines the efficiency of a cellulose receptor coating with the accuracy, definition and quick drying that is more commonly associated with clay surface coatings, Beaver Paper explains.

Rather like TexPrint Moda, TexPrint MP is thought to be easy to use and is “engineered for the highest speed, multi-head printers available on the market”. It is offered in a 95gsm basis-weight, and MP’s balance of quick-dry coating, dimensional stability and definition provides the “robust platform needed for sublimation printing success,” the company adds.

And again, rather like TexPrint Moda, TexPrint MP boasts high energy efficiency and optimises the amount of colour that is applied to the substrate by reducing the quantity of residual ink left in the print page, says Beaver Paper.

“The demand from many of our partners and customers to create an economical, multi-purpose paper has been significant, and we are excited to expand our TexPrint portfolio to meet those needs,” says Sternbeck. “We have high expectations for our new multi-purpose paper line.”

Beaver Paper states it is committed to driving broad-scale innovation across the dye-sublimation and digital print industry with its portfolio of sublimation media. To find out more, visit Beaver Paper’s booth in the Technology Hall at Innovate Textile & Apparel.
