A new start-up company called Mantra has recently launched a new category of apparel dubbed EverywhereWear. The collection includes a line of versatile polo shirts that have been made with recycled plastic bottles and designed for almost all occasions.

“By combining the comfort and utility of stretchy performance fabrics with designer style, we’ve created the perfect gear for the city, outdoors, and everywhere in-between,” says Dominic Natalizio, founder and CEO of Mantra.
“Work, golf, tennis, biking, travel, happy hour … our polos are good for it all.”
In order for the garments to be this versatile, the company uses a knit fabric which has stretch, moisture-wicking, breathability, and lightweight properties.
What’s more, the gear is made from repurposed plastic bottles and the company says it sources its raw material from the brand Unifi. Each polo shirt is made from approximately nine plastic bottles and each save 29 glasses of water and 534 hours of bulb energy. The garments are manufactured in Los Angeles, California, US.

“We plan to make additional styles and commit to using sustainable materials in everything we make. Our next style will be a T-shirt construction, and we plan to leverage Tencel for its stretch and biodegradable properties,” adds Ashley Revay, co-founder of Mantra.
The upstart brand has set out to create highly versatile gear because of its commitment to the planet. One of the most sustainable actions a consumer can undertake when buying clothing is simply to buy less, so by making gear that people love and don't need a lot of, Mantra is hoping to help consumers thin out their closets without sacrificing style.
