This year Aleph will make its second ever appearance at the SGIA Expo, where it will exhibit its LaForte 200 Paper super-wide-format 340cm machine with sublimation inks, and the LaForte 200 Fabric wide-format 190cm direct-to-fabric printer with textile pigment inks.

The decision emphasises Aleph’s desire to expand in the US market, where digital textile printing is on the rise. Both of the Aleph machines on show at SGIA, which takes place on 18-20 October at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Nevada, US, are equipped with the latest technology developed at OEM’s Como-based research centre, in a district that is synonymous with digital textile printing development. According to the company, the aim of this research centre is to deliver new solutions to the market that can satisfy the customer’s needs with sustainable production.

Aleph believes that its super-wide sublimation paper printer is responding to the market trend that’s witnessing the soft signage industry move away from direct-to-fabric printing. The possibility to use a wider range of fabrics and the sharp quality to print on paper are the market indicators. Direct-to-fabric printing with pigment inks is also what the market is looking for, Aleph says, because of ease-of-use and environmental benefits due to the textile not requiring a pre-treatment or post washing phase. Nevertheless, experts state that, for the best results, pre-treatments are still required when printing with pigment inks.

The SGIA Expo is intended to help companies such as Aleph plan ahead and secure their futures in the evolving US digital textile printing market. According to show organisers, the industry is becoming more competitive. “Every day we see new innovations that are changing the way we do things in printing, and the SGIA Expo brings people together to prepare for what is on the horizon,” says Ford Bowers, president and CEO, Speciality Graphic Imaging Association (SGIA).

Consequently, Aleph has made SGIA 2018 the destination to promote the new naming of the LaForte series. To simplify the line-up classification, the company has introduced new naming with numbers which stand next to the LaForte branding to refer to an incremental line of heads and productivity.

Aleph is continuously increasing its business around the world and North America quickly became an important market for the OEM. Therefore, a dedicated sales force and service network guarantee customers a great service and maintain Aleph’s standard quality at the top, the company says.
